The Computers live at Reading Festival

The last show I saw in Exeter as a resident was the first for the The Computers. Since then they have been touring hard, gelling quiffs, ironing shirts and writing some mean rock ‘n’roll riffs. This culminated in recording an album with garage punk hero, The Swami (John Reis of Rocket from the Crypt and Hot Snakes) in San Diego.

This year they invited me down to Reading Festival to photograph them playing on the Festival Republic stage. They have developed a distinctive style with a nod to fifties rhythms, the beat combo groups of the sixties and eighties hardcore punk. They play with intensity like every gig like is their last.
